It was last Sunday, I had just witnessed a ceremony that almost killed 4 people. They were roasted
as if they were pigs to be eaten...I could not help myself from vomiting...I felt pity and angry... Why do they have to join this, what they call brotherhood and sisterhood...does your brothers or sisters beat you to the extent that you could no longer stand and almost roasted your legs? Is that what they call love of a brother and a sister? Foolish love...
As I have asked one of their members about what the hell comes to their minds in entering such painful thing...”Gusto man gud ko magpa-tudlo ug math”,the neophyte said. The other also said “for experience”... “What?”, I said to them... “You almost lost your legs, your life and you would only say that?.. I pity their mother, their family...They are foolish...
For me, that was a big foolishness...
According to an international fraternity, They are into that group in order to dedicate themselves to the highest ideals of manhood, brotherhood and citizenship, they would inspire thousands of men from all parts of the country who would follow in their footsteps. (en.wikipedia.com)
However, that manhood and brotherhood and citizenship can be acquired in some other ways... They could go to charity works by serving the less fortunate. Not just serving their 'masters'. Why not choose for good and helpful than to be hurt and in slavery...They are killing themselves...
As what I have witnessed, I could no longer call it an initiation but hazing..

Indeed it was already hazing... But, I have nothing to do...The neophytes are loving it...Foolish indeed...
